Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been reportedly fined $50,000 by the NBA for leaking information from inside last week’s Board of Governors meeting.

During last week’s meetings the Athletic reported that NFL like challenges from head coaches would be implemented during games next season had been approved. This all came prior to the Board of Governors meeting coming to an end and the league not announcing it.

Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive voiced his concern that the vote was being reported on while the meeting was still going on. Cuban then reportedly admitted to letting the cat out of the bag.

Not long after, the NBA officially put out a press release announcing the changes to the instant replay rules.

The NBA has fined the Mavericks owner over $2 million since he took over ownership of the Dallas franchise in 2000.
